How to Enable ATV Developer Option?

Step 1: Dashboard

Go to the home screen.

Step 2: Settings

Select the "Settings" icon on the top right corner of your ATV screen as highlighted below.

Step 3: Device Preferences

From General Settings select Devices Preferences.

Step 4: Select "About"

Select the About option from the Device Preferences.

Step 5: Android TV OS Build

Scroll down and you can check the ATV build details under the Android TV OS build.

Instructions to enable the developer options:

You need to click on Android TV OS Build and then with the remote control you need to press the left button 2 times and the right button 2 times and press the OK button on the remote control. Press the right button once and then press the OK button.

Steps to perform on the remote control to enable the developer options:

LEFT-LEFT-RIGHT-RIGHT-OK-RIGHT-OK

After performing the above steps, a message appears on the screen "You are a developer!"

Press the back button

Press the back button on the remote control and go back to the Devices Preferences.

Check whether the Developer Options are available in the Device Preferences or not.

Check whether the USB Debugging option is available or not.

To check we need to follow the below steps:

1. First, we need to select the Developer Options.

Scroll down and check whether the USB Debugging option is enabled or not.

The below image shows that the USB Debugging option is enabled.
