How to Include Z-Wave Device?

Follow the steps below to include a Z-wave device.

Note: It is important to exclude Z-Wave devices before inclusion, follow the section below that describes how to exclude Z-wave devices.

Step 1: Select Smart Home:

Select Smart Home from the ATV dashboard

Step 2: Settings

Click on "Settings" from the smart home dashboard.

Step 3: Include Devices:

Go to settings on the dashboard, and select "Include devices" in smart home settings as indicated below.

Step 4: Z-Wave

Select the “Z-Wave” device.

Step 5: Include

Select “Include”.

Step 6: Pair Button

Press the pair button thrice on the Z-wave device.

Step 7: Device Discovered

As the smart home device is discovered by the gateway, the message "Device discovered!" is displayed on the screen.

Step 8: Interviewing

You will find the device in pairing mode for a few seconds.

Step 9: Inclusion Complete

As the device is paired, the "Interview Complete" message is displayed on the screen.

This completes your Z-Wave device inclusion.

Step 10: Device List

Here you can see that the Z-Wave device "Meter Switch" is included successfully.

Step 11: Done

Go to the smart home dashboard, you will see the Z-wave device appears in the smart home section.
