How to Set up Repeater Mode?

A repeater is an essential electronic device used in telecommunications and networking to extend the range of signals or overcome obstacles that hinder signal transmission. It acts as an intermediary between the transmitting device and the receiving device, receiving the incoming signal, amplifying it, and retransmitting it to its intended destination.


The primary purpose of a repeater is to extend the transmission distance of signals. When a signal travels over a communication medium, such as a cable or a wireless channel, it gradually weakens due to factors like attenuation and interference.

As a result, the signal becomes too weak to reach its intended destination, leading to data loss or communication failure. By receiving and amplifying the weakened signal, a repeater boosts its strength and retransmits it, effectively extending the reach of the signal.


Pre-condition:

To set up the repeater, the Xunison router must have internet access.

Note:

Log in to your Xunison Application and you will be directed to the home gateway.

Select the home gateway and proceed ahead.

Follow the steps below to set up the repeater mode:

Step 1: Settings

Select "Settings " from the left menu.

Step 2: Set up Wizard

Press "Set up Wizard" in the settings section.

Step 3: Timezone

Select "Timezone" from here and press ">" from the right-hand side.

Step 4: Admin Password

Press ">" from the right-hand side.

Note: Here you can change the router password.

Step 5: Select Mode

Tap on router mode and select the "Repeater" mode. Press ">" from the right-hand side.

Step 6: SCAN

Click on "Scan".

Step 7: Select The Network

Select the WiFi network.

Step 8: Enter The Password

Enter the correct password of the selected network here and press ">" from the right-hand side.

Step 9: Finish Setup

Press "Finish Setup" to complete the wizard it takes 6 to 7 minutes.
